27 May 2010 Kindly tell me Can we conduct EOGM outside India is Our other shareholder is residing abroad as we have a JV n other Co is abroad and we want to conduct EOGM for winding up of The JV.
Kindly guide and please give me the section where it has been given or approval of RBI or other authority is required ?????

27 May 2010 An extraordinary meeting of the shareholders, not being the annual general meeting of the company, can be held abroad because the Companies Act,1956 does not specifically state that the extraordinary meeting must be held in India.
