If company wants to reduce the no. of directors by which resolution company can do so?& is it in general meeting only?

If you want to remove any existing director on board then you have to pass an ordinary resolution of shareholders in the general meeting u/s 284.
section 284 is basically for removal of directors.
revert if there is any doubt.
