compensation received from builder against redevelopment of building and also rent received from builder whether it is taxable or not in the hands of recipient

If there is a capital GAin and that Capital gain exceeds the value of the property acquired on completion of redevelopment then the amount is taxable.Refer to Sec 54 of the IT Act.
