Hey... Can any one tell me whether subsidiary company can buy back its own shares????????

The buy back of shares is governed by Ss. 77A, 77AA and 77B of the Companies Act, 1956.
Which does not ban buy back of shares issued by a company which is a subsidiary Company. It prohibits the buy back of share by a Company through its subsidiary Company or an investment company
