A firm had been closed on 01/04/2011.
Plz tell me the procedure to intimate the IT deptt. abour its closure and procedure for the surrender of PAN no.
Plz tell me the time limits also upto when this procedure is to be performed.........

01 March 2012 The origianl PAN card of the firm along with a covering letter stating the fact of closure and deed of partnership and how the assets and liabilities are cleared may be filed with the concerned Income tax officer.

49A.
