Service Tax on insurance charges at the time of purchase a Fixed Asset can be claimed or not

If this asset is business asset, you can claim ITC
11 March 2012
If the asset is used in production of goods or in providing services, you are entitled for Cenvat Credit of Insurance on the said fixed asset.
