My Query is

1.How Can we claim TDS, deducted on Salary Received from Bhutan after deduction of TDS, While calculating income tax Calculation.

2. LTCG earned on sale of Plot, Utilised for Repayment of Housing Loan of Residental House, can we claim such repayment under sec 54F

21 February 2014 Salary earned in Bhutan is taxable in Bhutan and not in India so you have under go the provisions of Income Tax Laws of Bhutan.

LTCG shall not be available for repayment of Housing loan and no benefit can be claimed you have to pay LTCG anyhow the repayment of housing loan principal and interest can be claimed u/s 80C and house property income as loss

1.Can we claim TDS. deducted on salary in Bhutan, while paying tax on Global Income in India or can we take relief under sec 90 of income tax act.

2. Is there any provision for non utilisation of LTCG in repayment of Housing Loan

23 February 2014 1. yes you can claim credit under section 90/91 of the Act

2. section 54F requires you to invest the consideration for buying a new house or construct one. So repayment is not an eligible utilization.
