09 December 2011 IF A.O. makes addition of Rs.250000/- & assessee falls under 30% slab, What amount of tax to be deposited, before filing appeal. What is the procedure for filing appeal.

09 December 2011 Thanx. but As per A.O., we have to deposit minimum 50% of tax demanded, is it compolsory, to deposit. Please let me know the section / reference regarding where I can get the Procedure & conditions for appeal.

10 December 2011 Section is 246A of the Income tax Act,1961. Concerned rule is 45 and 46 of the Income tax Rules,1962. Required form is form no. 35 of the said rules.
