What is the procedure for creating / establishing a Religious / Private Charitable Trust?

Charitable trusts can be created under:
1. Indian Trust Act - Commissioner of Trusts in your jurisdiction;
2. Under Co-operative Societies Act - concerned Registrar of Co-operative Societies
3. Under Sec.25 of Indian Companies Act - you take assistance of a Chartered Accountant
