Change of Truck Details in E way bill

10 May 2020 Sir We have issued an e way bill whose validity has expired on 10 April , as per notification 40/2020 validity of e way bill is deemed to be extended till 31 may. In our case the truck is to be changed as the exisiting driver is not ready to take the load and the truck is standing at 1000 km away at Ajmer border. A new truck driver is ready to take the load. So kindly guide us how to change the truck number on e way bill as we are doing but no updation is allowed. Or no updation is required kindly give circular number in support of your claim.

11 May 2020 ask your transporter to update part -b. however, this functionality is applicable within 24 hours but try out as might govt has given relaxation in the matter. but if no solution find, you have to cancelled the eway bill and generate a new one

11 May 2020 We also cannot issue new e way bill as same invoice two e way bill will not be allowed

11 May 2020 I think you can cancel the old e-way bill and generate a new one.

12 May 2020 i already told you Sir if site allows you only due to lockdown, otherwise the option elapsed in 24 hours. Now you have to cancel the eway bill and generate a fresh one.
