Our is a private Company and the Company wants to alter its object clause. Company is running its business with which it was established but now the Company also wants to start some new business for which object clause is required to be altered. I just want to clear that can company run its business in two different variety of business under same company by just adding the other object clause in main object.

Is there any need for change in the name of the Company?

21 March 2013 The Company may do the same, however according to the new activity name should be accordingly changed.

21 March 2013 In case of private company, any object written in other object may also be started by just passing Board Resolution for the same.

Otherwise section 149 is to be complied with.

But can we start the new business without changing the name of the Company or is it must?

ok being a private co. we can start teh new business without ammending the object clause only just by passing board resolution
