1.Please suggest what is the procedure for change of the name of the society?

2. AP Societies Registration Act 2001 applicability date?

17 December 2014 The name of the SOCIETY can NOT be changed in the normal circumstances.
You need to discuss the reasons with the concerned Sub Registrar. If the authority is convinced, call for Extra Ordinary General Meeting. Pass the resolution. Confirm the resolution in the subsequent meeting. And then submit the same to Sub Registrar

17 December 2014 Dear Amol Sir,

1. one of my Client has been registered as per Societies Registration Act,1860 on 09.07.2002. Whether by that date AP Societies Registration Act 2001 Came into force ?

2. As per AP Societies Registration Act 2001 name of the society can be changed ?

3. Now as per what act change of name of the society to be followed?

4.Please Suggest the Procedure for name change.

17 December 2014 Societies Act 1860 is the domain of Charity Commissioneer. Foolw the same procedure with the Charity Commissioneer of your jurisdiction.
