Change of Karta in HUF for income tax

Dear Sir,
My father was having an HUF running in his name for which he used to file regular income tax return.
Now he is no more, hence I want to operate his HUF.
I want to know what is the procedure for changing the name of Karta in income tax so that I can operate the HUF.
Please help me in this matter.

Just write a letter in prescribed format for change in karta name and send it with change or correction of PAN application.
16 June 2022
Advisable to make a fresh HUF deed with the present Karta and existing members. Send a copy to all the concerned.
