Change of Job and starting practice

27 August 2007 i am 33 years old and passed M com. and PE-II,completed 22 months of articleship in old scheme (before 30-sep-2001),after that i joined a PSU as an Accounts Officer 4 years back with salary of 20000 pm and working now.

Now i am planning to join final course and articleship (remaining 14 months) and do final course to complete my final course and start practice after completing final course.

my question is:
1) whether shall i continue my job in a Central PSU with which i am earning as an office Rs.20000 pm.
2)or can i re-register for articleship and do final course after passing final shall i practice?

3)in the present situation environment whether practice is better or joining for a job is better i dont have any of my frineds or relatives doing practice, i have to start afresh.

please guide me so that i can take quick decision

27 August 2007 In your case , its my opinion you should think about your career dimension very carefully, At first you convienced about remaining time of CA complection. in your current employment ,if any provision of long leave is available that would be fine,then you can not loose any thing .

Now service is also a better option than practice in monetory term, if you like to go in practice its better to go with partnership.

31 August 2007 It depends on you, on ur liking, ur interest. You should finish you CA while doin ur Job. Then u can go for the Practice. Jus analyse the scenario u r having. Ur personal life, money matters as well. U may not earn even 20,000 in practice in initial days. But future is better there. Growth also
