Dear Experts,
How should we update the "change of residential address" in our incometax database/pan database.

FIRST OF ALL YOU WILL HAVE TO FILE FORM 49A FOR CHANGES/CORRECTION IN PAN DATA. THEN AFTER RECEIVING THE PAN WRITE A LETTER TO YOUR ASSESSING OFFICER REQUESTING TO INCORPORATE CHANGE IN YOUR ADDRESS ALONG WITH ADDRESS CHANGE PROOF AND COPY OF YOUR PAN LETTER.

No need to file Form 49A for change in address. Just apply with Income Tax Officer having your jurisdiction.
