Challan status is "unmatched

12 November 2012 Hi,

I have filed tds return for FY 2011-12. There are some challans whic include tds amounts for 2 or more Quarters also includes interests also. i shown the same in both quarters. But when i downloaded the Form-16A, the above said all challans are showing the status as "unmatched". eg. The Challan Amount is 500, out of which Tax is 400 and Interest is 100 and this is for the Q1 and Q2. we given the details is bothe Quarters as Tax 400+ Int 100. But in QI the the challan is "Booked" but in Q2 its status is "unmatched". Can any one tell me way to solve this issue.,

12 November 2012 Revise the return for the second quarter. The challan is booked in the first quarter with full amount. No need to show it in second quarter.

12 November 2012 Thank You for your replay, But i want to show the same challan in Q2 also. coz the the total Tax amount has to be bifurcated to Q1 and Q2 ( Rs 300 for Q1 and Rs 100 for Q2)As of now Q1 is Ok. Can u pls tell me what may be the reason for unbooking.

12 November 2012 It seems that you have filled ONE challan. That is the issue. So now either show it in Q1 or Q2. Leave the contention of showing it in both or pay by 2 separate challans.
