22 October 2015 dear sir, i have paid a challan of income tax of self assessment tax of rs5000 on 27sep2010 for f.y. 09-10 but challan details are not showing on it site and now i have recvd a demand notice of rs6000 so whAt can i do notice is from my local ao pls help me

22 October 2015 Don't worry, submit the challan acknowledgedment with your concerned ao and request him to remove the demand on basis of said challan

22 October 2015 but sir, i have lost my challan copy but i have bank statement and cheque no throygh which i have paid the challan is it enough to close demand or whether i have to ask bank to provide another challan copy to me..

22 October 2015 Yes you can get duplicate copy of challan from bank subject to provide the required information to bank I.e. date of dep., amount ,pan etc
