13 April 2012 HI,
I received CPC arrear demand notice to pay for the AY 2008-09.
Now when i fill the form 280, under "TYPE OF PAYMENT" what should I select?
1. Self Assessment Tax
2. Tax on Regular Assessment
3. Surtax.

Also, under details of payment, there are many columns.
I just got to pay Rs. 8939 or so. So can I key in the amount under "Income Tax"?

Pls advise.

15 April 2012 You can make the " Tax on Regular Assessment" and Amount Rs.8939 need to give correct break up as Income tax & e.cess & Interest

I contacted a yet-to-become CA. He told me,
"Send me copy of ITR Ack.,Form16 which u prepared & demand letter.
I think i can save ur tax. For this u have to provide me 1. TAN Number of employer, 2.Tax amount which he deducte, 3.Acknowledgement number of TDS returns of all 4 quarters. 4.Copy of your Pan Card If i get success to prove that ur tax is already dedcuteed then i will charge Rs 2000/-.
If i failed then no fees will chargeable from u. send me all necessary doc & info on my email id My email id is ____ after mail plz call me once. "

Is this person reliable?? Pls suggest
