14 November 2010 I am thinking of pursuing in the Certificate course in IFRS conducted by ICAI. Can someone please tell me:-
1. Is this course useful?
2. When does the regn for the course start?
3. Is study mat for the course provided by ICAI?
4. What is the last date for registration?
5. Who have been the faculties for the course in the past batches?
6. Is it better to do this course or the IFRS diploma course from ACCA?

16 November 2010 Hi Gurpreet,
I have attended Certificate course on IFRS classes held in Hyderabad held last month
They were good.
Institute will provide material but it contains only the summary and not full & bare standard.
But for exam, full text of standard has to be read.
IFRS batches starts on different dates for different places.
Visit ICAI website for details regarding the course and dates of the classes.
Registration is always open but you have to check which place you want to go for attending classes.
Faculties in our batch are from Deloitte, PWC and someone from Mumbai.All were good.
