If the director of the private company uses the designation of CEO, what are the formalities to be done?

07 June 2010 Dear Mamta,

According to me nothing special is required to be done as it is not a statutory position as per company law. Simply pass a board resolution and designate the person as per your wish.

You may also fix his terms of reference/liability through this board resolution.

Also give him a fresh letter from HR point of view describing his terms of appointment etc.
