Cenvat credit to be taken on output service

24 June 2012 We are providing transport service and mining service to a single service.For Transport Service Consignee takes care of service Tax.For mining service we are charging and paying.if I want to avail cenvat on Input services(Both Capital goods and other input services used for Output service,Should I segregate the input service Tax and excise duty/CVD for two output services(Transport & Mining Service)for taking Cenvat.

Secondly can I take input credit on insurance of Vehicles and Car hiring,courier service ,consultancy services ?

24 June 2012 YOU YOUR SELF ANSWERED YOUR QUERY. YES YOU HAVE TO KEEP RECORDS SEPERATELY FOR EACH SERVICES AS IN-PUT CREDIT IS NOT APPLICABLE FOR GTA SERVICES.

AS PER MY OPINION, YOU CAN TAKE CREDIT FOR THE COMMON SERVICES AS MENTIONED BY YOU IN THE RATIO OF THE BUSINESS I.E. GTA / MINING.
