27 January 2009 Can we adjust the service tax payable in the month of April 08 towards the cenvat credit of June 2008.

15 April 2009 In case if the service tax payable is for individual, HUF, Partnership firm, then service tax has to be paid quarterly, in that case he can adjust the CENVAT credit with the service tax. The Quarter will be Jan -Mar, April-June, July-Sept, Oct-Dec
Based on your example, it can be adjusted if the assessee is as specified above
