The due date for filing income tax returns for A Y 2015-16 has been extended from 31 July 2015 to 31 August 2015. Does this extension also apply to the date of deposit of unutilised capital gains in a designated Capital Gains Account for investment qualifying u/s 54F?

No, how is this connected with return filing date. The activity under CG is governed by the date of transfer of property.

Extended due date ,vide CBDT order dated 10-6-2015, applies to the deposit to be made u/s 54F(4).
