Capital gain on industrial land

28 November 2011 Dear All,
I need your help on capital Gain regarding Industrial Land & Building.

Company has a single plot on which it run the manufacturing unit, now management decide to sale it and purchase another . Is there any exemption to re-invest the profit portion in Industrial Land.

28 November 2011 No there is no provision which exempts such
profits in the given circumstances. However, you may check Section 54G in this regard.

If the situation is similar as prescribed in the section, then only exemption may be availed.
