short term profit from "X"company's
shares sale 5 lac
Long term profit from "Y" comp.
shares sale 3 lac
short term loss from "Z" comp. shares sale 50,000
long term loss from "Q" comp. shares sale 70,000

What is my short term & Long Term Pofit

27 June 2011 In case you are an Investor calculate Short term and long term gains. If you are a trader then no need to bifurcate as Short Term or long term profits/ loss.

Anyway , you are a lucky investor and your gains are as under-

1.Short Term Capital gains
500000-50000= 450000
2.Long Term Capital gain
300000-70000=230000
