13 February 2013 My Qurey is:-

I have purchased a Property (First floor & basement) for Rs. 26 Lacs.and 4.03 Lacs is paid for registering it to the registrar.

Can I add 4.03 Lacs in the Cost of Acquistion.

13 February 2013 in my view, yes you can add registration cost because it's directly related to acquisition of asset

13 February 2013 exp of capital nature for completing or acquiring the title to the property are included in cost of acquisition.
but noramal registry rate is 7%.
so please check if these are imaginery figures or not.
so registry charges are included in cost of acquisition
