Cancellation of service tax registration

Dear Members
Good Morning
This is regarding closure of Service Tax Registration,
We have requested Dept to close our Existing Registration by online and got a mail from them indicating " your request modified by the officer in charge"
and on login with the given user id and password we are getting message as " your registration may cancelled, rejected, surrendered etc "
However on checking online we found that status of Registration is "Active"
can we consider our registration is cancelled or it is semi finish.
Please guide me in this regard

After surrender online registration you need to submit the document before the range office they will accept your surrender application after discharge all liability.
