I have taken a new GST in March and i am not using it as we have not started our business. Can we Cancel or deactivate new GST number.

Application for cancellation, in case of voluntary registrations made under GST, can be made only after one year from the date of registration.
However ,proper officer (Authorities ) can cancel your registration for non commencement of business transaction within six months of submitting the application
