can VAT be charged on the bill amount along with service tax there on by IT company giving license of anti virus?

Ms Aditi :there is no question of charging VAT on ST,because, VAT is leviable on the value of goods only.If any service is done along with sale of goods and ST is also collected both the charge on service and tax on it are excluded from the value taxable for VAT.......mjk
