Can one ca be partner in two partnership firms??

1.Can one CA be partner in 2 CA firms at same time
Further if yes, how it will effect his status on bank audit assignment

2. Besides partner in partnership firm can he use his own name stamp for certifying any document(i.e.if he doesnt want to use firm's stamp on that document)

I think in this overall limit of 45 tax remain be there on collective basis.

31 December 2011 Yes, by virtue of clause 6.1.2 of ICAI Council General Guidelines,2008 which is reproduced below.
In computing the “specified number of tax audit assignments”, the number of such
assignments, which he or any partner of his firm has accepted whether singly or in
combination with any other Chartered Accountant in practice or firm of such
Chartered Accountants, shall be taken into account.
