Can i utilized The Education Cess Credit From Basic Duty

Sir,
We have a D.T.A. UNIT , i have a pending cenvat credit in Education cess & higher Education Cess . Can i use that credit for paying the Basic Excise Duty. if that not happen then give me any solution, How can i utilized my credit .

No. Education cess and Higher education cess can be utilised for payment of Ed cess and HES. The pay head headings of BED and cess are different.

No , cross utilisation is not allowed. Carry over is the only solution.
