A HUF can be created only when there is an offspring. Having a child is mandatory for creating a HUF.

According to Hindi Law, an HUF is created at the time of marriage. It is not necessary to have a child. Even husband and wife constitute a HUF. Even, it is not necessary to create it. It is formed automatically on the event of marriage.
