After demise of male member (KARTA) of HUF, can female member ( wife or duaghter)be KARTA of HUF ?. What about operation of bank account and immovable property.What is law applicable in Maharashtra.

Yes, as per latest amendments in Hindu Succession Law, a female member can also be a Karta of HUF.
