Can cenvat credit avail in branch

06 August 2012 Material Despatch to Party and Party Rejected the material and make rejection note in favour of branch address and send the material in branch. what is the accounting process and can branch take excise credit.

06 August 2012 Hi,

If the branch is a register under Central Excise as a Trader/ Dealer..then branch avail the credit and do the compliance. If not, credit can not take.
Other option, get the changes done in a excise Invoice in the name of factory address by Authorised person and deliver the goods to factoy with CENVAT Copy.

OR Bill to :- Branch Office, Ship TO: Factory address.
