14 August 2018 A foreigner wants to become a member of NPO/NGO or trust in india and these said categories are already FCRA registered. Can he become a members in these ?

14 August 2018 Indian origin foreigners, who have acquired foreign citizenships are permitted. Therefore on practical ground, the best way our experience suggests that if an NRI having foreign citizenship has a PIO card, and his inclusion can be justified on grounds of his status / contribution, dept would generally allow Indian origin persons to even hold executive positions.

15 August 2018 Sir, What if a Foreigner is born in japan and currently resides in Australia and he wants to become a member in india in FCRA registered NGO.
