Calculation of power expenses payable

20 June 2012 Ours is a manufacturing unit and the electric power is the major part of cost of the product. Please tell me how to calculate the power expenses payable on 31 march. we maintain the register of the reading on the daily basis.

20 June 2012 normally..in manufacturing unit..electicity bill is issued for the complete month i.e from the 1st day of the month to last day of the month. But if it is for the period ending on other then last day of the month, u can take proportionate expenses on day basis as per ele. bill received in the month of april. Other wise u if you have daily unit record u can take proprtionate on the basis of total units utilised as per april bill and units consumed upto 31st march.
