16 April 2018 Does a CA Sole proprietor lose his firm name when he creates a CA partnership firm with another Chartered Accountant with a different Firm name and becomes an exclusive partner in the new firm . What will be the status of the old sole proprietorship firm name. Will it be blocked by ICAI ?

16 April 2018 that depends on how you file the forms with ICAI. If you exclusively work for the partnership, ICAI won't be retaining your firm name anymore
