CA Rakesh is practicing in his sole proprietorship firm "Rakesh & Associates" since 2012 and CA Sahil is practicing in his sole proprietorship firm "Sahil & Associates" since 2015.Now Both want to merge their CA Firms in 2016.
Now my question is from which year seniority level of the merged CA Firm will be counted in all following three Circumstances :- (i) If the firm name is "Rakesh Sahil & Associates" after merger. (ii) If the firm name is "Rakesh & Associates" after merger. (iii) If the firm name is "Kumar Sharma & Associates" after merger.

See, name has no relevance as such........I hope you want to maintain the seniority from 2012. If that is the motive, please do as follows Let CA Sahil join CA Rakesh as partner.. (The ICAI to be informed accordingly about the change in the status of Rakesh and Associates.) Next step would be......change the name of Rakesh & Asso....if you desire...

Are you sure if we change the name of Rakesh & associates, it will not affect the seniority of the CA firm ?
