There is no limit for attempts of CA exams. As long as your registration is in force you can appear for exam. I.e Your registration to CA course should be in force as on the date of exams. So in case of your registration due date is over then you can renewal it by paying prescribed fee and get such registration is into force but there is no limit for attempts to exams as long as your life you can appear for CA exams.
For your information:
CA-CPT registration shall be valid for 3 years
CA-IPCC registration shall be valid for 4 years
CA-Final registration shall be valid for 5 years from the date of registration to such course so before to expiry of such period of valid you can't clear such stage of course then you have to renewal your course by paying Rs.300,400 and 500 respectively.
