18 August 2012 Dear all,
I am selected for the post of article trainee in a mid sized firm but I have applied to many more firms and haven't got any reply as yet so should I wait For their reply or should I join the firm in which I am selected.
Hoping for a sooner reply.
It's urgent please suggest me what should I do.

18 August 2012 By and large the scenario around is CA firms are short of articled students. It is an articled students market.. you can say. I think you should concentrate more on the fact that what kind of experience you want and what kind of firm is available to satisfy your aim.

Actually I want to gain expetise in one field and that's audit and this expertise I can get only in big 4 but I have heard that do not take students without some reference and I dont have any and moreover I don't know the procedure for applying in big 4 . I have sent my resume to these companies by mail but haven't got any reply as yet.and if I get some reference so how should I convey it to them.

18 August 2012 Reference is asked every where. You must be aware of KYC norms. The same can always be produced as reference. The reference need not be individual reference always. Best of luck.
