18 June 2013 Dear Sir,

I have Received C form from for the year 2007-08 Kerala Party Valid upto 30 sept 2008. I have misplaced the same in the year 2007-08. now ACCT called for audit for the year 2007-08. but my kerala party sent Xerox copy of c form counterfoil for my record.

1.what is the next procedure if I cant get the c form?
2. if I got misplaced c form ?

19 June 2013 The selling dealer has to funish original C form issued by the purchaser to charge 2% CST in his invoice. Xerox copy of or the duplicate of the C form is not sufficient to claim the benifit.If the original is lost the seller has to pay the balance tax with interest and penalty as per rules. If you find the missing C form later on i.e. after the order was passed,the assssment order may be rectified ,if it is within the stipulated time or an appeal may be filed for it..mjk

20 June 2013 There is one more option/solution to this problem. It is reporting to the LVO concerned on the loss of C form and requesting to issue a new C form.The procedure followed for this is publishing in a news paper on the loss etc,submisson of an indemnity bond to the LVO concerned in the format given in the CST Act(form G.Contact your LVO for further details...mjk
