why is Reliance listed in both the exchanges?

BSE is a very OLD exchange. NSE is the recent one. SEBI also makes it compulsory to get the share listed at least on 2 stock exchanges.
In order to have a wide range liquidity for the share holders, this provision is embedded.

Why not? Of course one can do that. In fact most of the Arbitragers are doing that way only.
