We are a public limited company manufacturing edible oil.
One of our Broker has billed for Brokerage against sale of edible oil. He is also charging service tax @ 12.36%.
Kindly help me to know the who shall be liable to pay service tax, is it me or Broker? and also confirm if any abatement available?

yes he is correct and service is applicable if ur paying him commision

yes he will charge the service tax on brokerage and you have to pay this.
