Dear All,
Plz. let me know in case of small company, upto what time it is mandatory to hold 1st board meeting ? since some company have not filed yet MGT - 14 for disclosure of interest.
Whether it could be 30th sep. i.e. 6 month from 1st April ?
Since act says that in these type of companies 2 board meeting should be held in each calender year.

A small company may hold only two board meetings in a year, i.e. one Board Meeting in each half of the calender year with a minimum gap of ninety days between the two meetings.
Kindly note that it is not mandatory for small company to hold only 2 board meeting in a year. Companies Act 2013 does not prohibit small company from holding more than 2 board meeting.
However, if only 2 board meetings are held in a calendar year provisions relating to 90 days gap should be followed.
As per the provisions 1st Board meeting should be held before 30th june 2014 i.e 1st half of calendar year
