03 January 2009 yes a board meeting can be held on any day and at any place....even on sundays & public holidays

03 January 2009 Original Board Meeting can be held on a public holiday except where the articles of a company provide otherwise

Adjourned meeting cannot be held on a public holiday

03 January 2009 Dere is no provision under the co act which prohibits a company from holding board meeting on a public holiday.It depends upon A/A. However, as per the act, adjourned board meeting cannot be held on a holiday, unless A/A permits.
