Abatement etc 75%
Applicable ST Rate 3.09%

Value with ST Rs. 10,000
Service Tax 10,000/103.09*3.09=300
Gross Value 10,000/103.09*100=9700

01 October 2014 Yes the Expert is correct. This treatment is as per Sec 67(2) of the FA, 1994 and applicable where the gross amount charged by a service provider is inclusive of service tax payable.....
