10 February 2014 I have filed my return in form ITR1 for FY 2012-13 on 05-08-2013 (pl note the due date of filing return for said FY was extended to 05-08-2013). However could not submit the ITR-V within 120 days and thus was rejcted. My account in efiling website is showing filed return as "Original" and status as rejected Now since the return filed is void ab initio I m filing return as "Original" and with section selection 139 (4). However when uploading. it throws the error "Only one original return can be filed under section 139 (4), please select another section" Does that mean the return filed on May 05th is considered as belated return by the system.. How can I file my return now in Feb 14. Should I file it as revised return.. However if it is considered as belated return. it could not be revised. Please suggest.

10 February 2014 you need to file revised return under 139(5). it will be considered as original return only...

10 February 2014 you need to file revised return under 139(5). it will be treated as original return only under 139(4).
