16 December 2015 Dear all, I have a very basic question. What is the difference between Notary, Franking and why it is being done??

16 December 2015 A notary is a lawyer or person with legal training who is licensed by the government to perform acts in legal affairs, in particular witnessing signatures on documents. Who Authenticate the document.
FRANKING : Franking is stamp a mark to indicate that amount has been paid..

Notary Means:-
a person authorized to perform certain legal formalities, especially to draw up or certify contracts, deeds, and other documents for use in other jurisdictions.

an official mark or signature on a letter or parcel to indicate that postage has been paid or does not need to be paid.
