Dear all, I have a very basic question. What is the difference between Notary, Franking and why it is being done??

A notary is a lawyer or person with legal training who is licensed by the government to perform acts in legal affairs, in particular witnessing signatures on documents. Who Authenticate the document.
FRANKING : Franking is stamp a mark to indicate that amount has been paid..
