19 December 2012 friends i have some queries abt banking ... i know these may sound dumb but pls bear with me.. suppose i m doing a job in amritsar but i have hdfc bank ac only in ludhiana, my hometown... Q1. then the salary cheque which i get, can i deposit it in my bank ac at ludhiana through hdfc ac branch in amritsar ?????.... (i think answer is yes) Q2. can i withdraw cash from my bank ac of ludhiana through hdfc branch at amritsar (although i dont hv ac in amritsar) ??

19 December 2012 The banking now a days has travelled beyond the geographical areas. CBS (Core banking) has already allowed all such transaction.
The new system CTS (Cheque truncating System) will take this to a new height in due course of time.)
