Whether PAN is mandatory to open an account in banks, or Form 60/61 is applicable till date.


12 April 2018 Yes, you can open bank account without PAN card. Documents like Passport, Aadhar card, Voter ID card and Driving licence are enough to open bank account you can fill Form 60/61 form for Person Not Holding PAN who does not have a permanent account number and who enters into any transaction specified in rule 114B of the Income Tax Act. Rule 114B specifies a list of financial transactions for which quoting of PAN is mandatory. Form No 60 requires the declarant to give name, address, income and other details in case the person does not have PAN.
